Current Opening: Director, Operations & IT

Job Location:  Sunnyvale, CA; Baltimore, MD; Northern VA

Summary

The Director of Operations manages and directs the development operations and IT for LookingGlass Cyber Solutions. The Director of Operations works closely with senior management and across the company to consistently provide service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage DevOps Engineering & IT staff, develop team members, and implement best practices.
  • Primary liaison with product development teams concerning support of product delivery timelines.
  • Primary liaison for IT support and services across corporate organizations including Sales, Support, Engineering
  • Expert level technical skills and able to provide mentoring to team members
  • Plan, manage and provide systems infrastructure and application support
  • Responsible for availability, security and performance of all operational systems
  • Manage the architecture and design of the company’s operational systems
  • Develop and implement operational best practices while maintaining agility
  • Manage relationships with hosting providers and other suppliers

Minimum Requirements

  • Years of Experience: 8-10years in operational/IT leadership role
  • US citizen or Green card only

Skills/Essential Functions

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in appropriate technical discipline such as software development, computer science, electrical engineering or similar.
  • Must have extensive relevant technical experience, with a wealthy of staff management experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing SAAS solutions at scale.
  • Server farms running high-volume data-driven applications – primarily on Linux experience or qualification
  • Advanced TCP/IP networking experience and understanding
  • Strong database experience including database tuning, high availability, replication and optimization such as postgres, mysql, nosql, key/value data stores
  • Experience with tools for automation of deployment, monitoring and management of systems, such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Vagrant

Current Opening: Sign Language Interpreter

Location: Baltimore, MD

 Summary

To provide sign language interpreting services to an executive-level engineer within a highly technical environment. Interprets meetings, one-on-one conversations, and phone calls to facilitate communications inside and outside the office. This position will be a full-time position at our primary office location in Baltimore, and may involve infrequent business travel.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified Sign Language Interpreter (RID/NAD)
  • 3 years of interpreting experience at a minimum, more is preferred.
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder

Current Opening: Senior Automation Engineer

Location:  Baltimore, MD or Sunnyvale, CA

Summary

The Senior Automation Engineer will work on the design and implementation of the Release product release pipeline. He/She will work closely with development team to drive release process, QA team in testing, ops in maintaining a lab, and product management to release the product to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement / maintain automatic release pipeline
  • Build / maintain the product OS (embedded Linux)
  • Rack and mount Lab equipment for the release pipeline
  • Aid developers/QA in using the pipeline

Minimum Requirements

  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Bachelor’s Degree is computer science or similar
  • 5-8 yrs experience with full development life-cycle with shipping products
  • 3-4 yrs experience writing production or QA automated software in Functional, OO, and/or Imperative languages
  • 2-3 yrs experience building and maintaining virtual servers (LXC, docker, vmware a plus)

Skills/Essential Functions

  • Linux administration expertise. Can build a system from an automated script and package manager (arch, debian a plus)
  • Multiple years experience writing production build and shell scripts (Bash a plus)
  • Proficiency with Git
  • Experience implementing and automating quality metrics that validate product requirements
  • Proficient administering CI environments with Jenkins, TeamCity, CruiseControl
  • Experienced working in a BDD Environment
  • Comfortable with aggressive refactoring
  • Product development experience in network security, content security or cybersecurity intelligence preferred
  • Proficiency in Ruby, Clojure, Javascript
  • Background in Ops is helpful for this position
  • Jenkins or similar CI environment setup knowledge is also a plus
