Arlington, VA – (July 16, 2012) -- Lookingglass Cyber Solutions, a cyber security company whose revolutionary appliance-based platform delivers global visibility for Over-The-Horizon Cyber Threat Suppression, today announced a partnership with Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) superstar Randy Couture and his Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation to raise money and awareness for American troops wounded in action and their families. During the Black Hat 2012 security conference, Lookingglass will host a VIP charity fundraiser on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the HAZE Nightclub at Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas to benefit the foundation and recognize Couture for his work in helping United States Armed Forces veterans.
“Since my retirement from MMA, I’ve focused much of my efforts on helping America’s veterans as they come back to civilian life and I am excited to work with an organization like Lookingglass that has military roots and shares these core values,” said Randy Couture. “We are dedicated to raising funds and awareness for those wounded in action, and this partnership allows us to continue to provide support to those who suffer from physical and mental injuries and their families.”
Lookingglass will present Couture and his foundation with a donation from the company as well as proceeds from the sale of a co-branded t-shirt. The t-shirts will be available for sale at the Lookingglass booth at the Black Hat Conference (Booth #501) and at the charity event on July 26 at HAZE. Tickets to the fundraiser will be available at the Lookingglass booth at Black Hat.
“We are very excited to partner with Randy and the Xtreme Couture G.I. Foundation to support our wounded veterans as they come back from active duty,” said Derek Gabbard, CEO of Lookingglass. “With the time and effort that Randy puts into his foundation, he has been able to improve the lives of countless military veterans and we look forward to working with him to expand this mission. We are committed to growing our partnership with Randy and the Xtreme Couture GI Foundation. This is an important first step toward that goal.”
