The Cheasepeake Innovation Center (CIC) is partnering with the National Security Agency (NSA) to discover and nurture innovative high technology companies. The program was devised to bring powerful technology innovations from small enterprises to the NSA. The CIC began by screening 40 invited companies and narrowed the field down to 15. NSA had the final say selecting 6 technology innovators to participate and present on May 15, 2009 at NSA to a broad group of technologists interested in these technologies.
